Identity verification for financial institutions
Overview
VerifiNow is an identity verification solution for financial institutions. It brings voice biometrics, facial recognition, government-issued ID verification, and liveness detection into agent dashboards through Twilio Flex.
Problem
Contact-center authentication for financial institutions has to confirm that a customer is who they claim to be, using more than knowledge-based questions. That work has to happen inside the tools agents already use.
My role
Senior React Native Developer at Experts Cloud Private Limited (07/2022 – 09/2023). Engineered a Twilio Flex-based identity verification solution for financial institutions. Integrated voice biometrics, facial recognition, government ID verification, and liveness detection into agent dashboards. Integrated BlueJeans Web SDK and Incode React Native SDK. Implemented realtime communication with WebSocket and Socket.io.
Technical approach
The solution is built on Twilio Flex so verification lives in the agent workspace. Native and web SDKs handle biometric and document checks, while realtime channels keep the agent experience in sync during a session.
